Workspace administrators can control which project creation features are available in the Localization Hub portal, including Content Analysis and the ability to create Targeted or Dynamic Projects.
Targeted Projects — a manually created translation project where users select specific content items (pages, blocks, or assets) to send for translation.
Dynamic Projects — an automatically analyzed translation project that helps users detect and translate only new, updated, or missing content.
You can configure the following options in Workspace Settings → Details → Project creation restrictions
1. Restrict Content Analysis for new projects
Prevents users from running Content Analysis when creating new projects. Existing projects are not affected — their analysis results can still be viewed or rerun.
Content Analysis identifies updated content and counts only the words in changed fields. If disabled, the entire content is counted, which may increase word usage.
To enable this option, switch the toggle and click Save.
⚠️ When this option is enabled, the setting Restrict Dynamic Projects in the portal is automatically hidden because Dynamic Projects cannot be created without Content Analysis.
2. Restrict Targeted Projects in the portal
When enabled, users cannot create Targeted Projects through the portal. Targeted Projects created directly from the CMS remain available. Use this to ensure that all content selection happens in the CMS.
To enable this option, switch the toggle and click Save.
3. Restrict Dynamic Projects in the portal
Visible only when Content Analysis for new projects is allowed.
When enabled, users will not be able to create Dynamic Projects and must select specific content items for every new project, as automated analysis-based job creation is unavailable.
To enable this option, switch the toggle and click Save.
