A workflow outlines the sequence of project statuses. You can either use the default workflow or create one tailored to your needs. The default workflow typically includes the following statuses: New, In Progress, Completed.
1. Navigate to the Workflows tab in Workspace settings.
2. Click New Workflow.
3. Name the workflow and provide the description (optional).
4. Select a workflow step from the predefined list and click Add to include it in your workflow. The predefined list is sourced from the Workflow Steps in the Administration settings.
5. Now, you can see the added workflow step in the list below and on the left-side menu. To edit a workflow step, use the left-side menu or click the pencil icon in the Actions column.
You can add as many steps as you need.
You can rename the workflow step and modify the default description. These changes will determine how the project status appears to users.
6. Specify the next step(s) for each step. To do this, open a specific step and click Add in the Next Steps section.
7. Choose the next step from the dropdown.
8. Name the transition button and write a description for a transition. The transition page appears between different project steps.
The transition button will appear in the project here:
And you will see the transition description on the transition page here:
9. If you need to add more than one next step, just click Add and repeat the process.
Please note that you can move not only forward through the workflow but also backward. You can assign a step that returns you to the previous project step as one of the next steps. For example, if you are at the In Progress stage, you can add one step Mark as Completed and the other Back to New step. That way, you can move back to the New step if you forget anything.
Take into consideration that you will not be able to undo content transferring. If you had exported the content to the translation tool, it would not have been possible to uncreate the project in the translation tool.
10. If you need to delete any of the Next Steps, click on the bin icon.
11. On the General page, you can review all the steps that you added one more time and choose the first step of the workflow.
12. If everything looks good, press Save. The Save button will apply all changes made to the workflow instance across all pages, including each step page.
