Users are notified about certain events on the portal. You can get in-app and email notifications. Notification messages can be customized according.
To edit a notification you need to perform the following steps:
1. Open a specific type of notification for edit.
2. At the top, you will see the type of notification. It can not be changed. You can edit only the text part of notifications but not change its functions.
3. The subject and the body of the notification can be edited.
Change them according to your needs using substitutes that are placed to the right. Please note that the list of substitutes can be different for different types of notifications.
The subject will be reflected in the email subject and the subject of the notification on the "My Notifications" page.
The body will be reflected in the email body and the notification body on the "My Notifications" page.
4. Add supervisors if necessary. Supervisors receive all notifications of this type disregarding their global and project permissions. That is why we recommend using this option only for managers that have rights to all projects. You can choose a specific user and/or a specific role as a supervisor.
5. Enable the "Auto-subscribe" toggle and all new users will be subscribed to this type of notification automatically. However, they can manage the notification preferences later in "My Notifications".
6. Enable the "Include own activities" toggle in case you want all new users to receive notifications about their own actions on the portal. They will be able to change their notification preferences later in "My Notifications".
7. Enable the "Send email" toggle in case you want all new users to receive emails in addition to in-app notifications. They will be able to change their notification preferences later in "My Notifications".
8. Review the settings, enable notification and save the changes. If notification of a specific type is disabled, users won't receive notifications of this type.
