Your user profile contains the account details used in Localization Hub, such as your name, email address, company, profile picture, and linked accounts.
Some profile details may be entered by you, while others may be created automatically when you first access Localization Hub from a CMS or another connected system.
In this article, you will learn:
- where your profile information comes from
- what each profile field means
- how email confirmation works
- where to find linked accounts
Open your profile
To open your profile:
- Click your user menu in the top-right corner of Localization Hub.
- Select My Account.
Where profile data comes from
Your profile can be created in different ways:
- when you create an account directly in Localization Hub;
- when another user invites you by email;
- when you open Localization Hub from a connected CMS;
- when your organization uses another connected sign-in method.
If your profile is created automatically from a CMS, Localization Hub may use information provided by the CMS, such as your CMS user name, first name, last name, or email address.
Note: If the CMS does not provide an email address, you can continue using Localization Hub, but you need to enter and confirm your email address to receive notifications, password reset emails, and account-related messages.
Profile fields
The My Account page includes the following fields.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Username | The system identifier for your account. Username cannot be changed. You can log in using either your username or your confirmed email address. |
| First name | Your first name. It may be used to generate your display name. |
| Last name | Your last name. It may be used to generate your display name. |
| Display name | The name other users see in Localization Hub. By default, it is generated from your First name and Last name, but you can change it manually. Display name must be unique. |
| Company | Your company or organization name. |
| Email address | Used for login, notifications, password reset emails, and account-related messages. If you change it, the new address must be confirmed before it becomes active. |
| Profile picture | The image shown with your account. Choose a file from your computer and click Upload image. |
Email address and confirmation
You can change your email address from My Account. For security, the new address is saved as pending and becomes active only after you confirm it from the link sent to that address.
Until the new email address is confirmed, it is not used for notifications, password reset emails, or account-related messages.
Note: If you do not receive the confirmation email, you can resend it from the email confirmation message on the My Account page.
If Localization Hub could not get your email address
If your account was created automatically from a CMS, Localization Hub may not always receive your email address from that CMS.
You can continue using Localization Hub, but you need to enter and confirm your email address to receive notifications, password reset emails, and account-related messages.
If the email address belongs to another account
If you manually change your email address to one that already belongs to another Localization Hub account, the email cannot be saved.
Account connection requests are created during sign-in from a CMS or connected system. They are not created when you manually change your email address.
Contact your administrator if the accounts should be linked.
Linked accounts
The Linked accounts section shows external accounts or sign-ins connected to your Localization Hub account. It may also show account connection requests when another sign-in needs approval before it can be linked to your account.
For details, see the article about linked accounts.
